Dr. Daniel Elbert

Daniel Elbert DDS was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. While at NYU Dr. Elbert finished an honors program in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Elbert provides a full range of dental services encompassing prevention, restorative, orthodontics, implant, and cosmetic dentistry. In addition, Dr. Elbert is continually up-to-date in the latest dental technology and advances.

He truly loves dentistry and spends hours reading the latest dental literature and hundreds of hours each year attending lectures on new procedures and materials. Dr. Elbert also loves dentistry because of his great patients. He takes the time to get to know each patient. That extra time is really appreciated by everyone who comes to him. He not only cares about what has to be done in order to have good dental health but he also takes the time to get to know the patient's "wants". This type of commitment is not only evident by the great dentistry he gives his patients, but also by the smile on his patients' faces.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and California Dental Association. Dr. Elbert enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife Rita have two beautiful daughters, Sophia and Alexandra, In his spare time, Dr. Elbert is an avid sports fan. He likes to play basketball, golf and tennis.

Paula Needham, DMD

Children say the funniest things and Dr. Paula loves listening to their stories. Dr. Paula is originally from Chicago, attended Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology. At Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and was awarded Merit Scholarship for academic performance. Her pediatric specialty training was completed at USC and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. She holds memberships in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Dental Association and the California State Pediatric Society. When not enjoying time with her patients she loves spending time with her husband and their Miniature Husky rescue dogs, Wrigley Field and Wylie Coyote. Her hobbies include experiments in the kitchen, pilates and hiking.

Rita Brikina Office Manager

Rita Brikina has been part of the Thousand Oaks Smile Design team since the practice opened. With a warm and welcoming personality, Rita enjoys helping our patients and getting to know them. She views our clients as more than just patients, but friends as well. Rita is happily married with two beautiful children. In addition to spending time with her family, Rita enjoys working out at the local Pilates studio.

Rachel Jackson Registered Dental Hygienist

Rachel Jackson completed her degree in Registered Dental Hygiene in Southern California, and joined our team in the beginning of 2015. Patients consider Rachel very gentle and caring, while at the same time very thorough. Rachel is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. She enjoys spending her down time with her family and friends. Rachel's hobbies include reading science fiction books, spending time at her kids school, and enjoying a good family dinner.

Yvette Manzano Registered Dental Hygienist

Yvette Manzano is one of the Registered Dental Hygienist and the newest member of the Thousand Oaks Smile Design family. As a dental hygienist she strive to provide excellent care while building lasting relationships with our patients. She enjoys helping her patients achieve a healthy cavity free smile. Her goals are to educate patients on their oral-health as it relates to their overall health, and relieving their dental anxiety so they can enjoy coming to our office.

Jennifer McAvoy Registered Dental Assistant

Jennifer McAvoy is our friendly Registered Dental Assistant. She completed her RDA training in California. Warm and caring, she enjoys using her professional expertise to improve smiles and overall patient wellbeing. It is important to her that patients are comfortable and to ensure that they are getting the best dental care possible. Aside from work Jen is highly involved with her two sons and all of their sports and activities. If it's not work or family, you can find Jen at almost any home game for the LA King's Hockey team. Meagan Moore Dental Assistant

Meagan Moore is originally from Calabasas. She received her diploma in Dental Assisting in 2010. Outside of work Meagan enjoys camping, boating and water skiing. Meagan is looking forward to growing with our office and applying her dental experience. She is a great addition to our team!

Alicia Tobon Dental Benefits/ Treatment Coordinator

Alicia Tobon is our Dental Benefits/Treatment Coordinator. She has over 15 years experience working with dental insurance benefits and reimbursement. Alicia has experience in Orthodontics, Pediatrics and General dentistry. She enjoys working with patients and helping them achieve a perfect healthy smile. She currently reside in Ventura, with my husband and son. When not in the office Alicia enjoys spending her free time with her family and living so close to the beach.

Olivia Williams Patient Care/ Scheduling Coordinator

Olivia Williams joined Thousand Oaks Smile Design in August of 2014 as our patient care/scheduling coordinator. She will greet you with her welcoming smile and is always eager to help you schedule your appointments. She is currently attending a local college where she is working on earning a Bachelors degree in business and marketing. She loves working in the dental field and enjoys its never-ending learning adventure. On her days off she enjoys beach days, concerts and time with friends and family.
